a BIG shopping day

After weeks of thinking about it I caved in and decided on a big shopping day in Albany. The last time I went shopping I went by myself and spent many hours wandering around Michael's, AC Moore and Hobby Lobby! So I decided that it would be best if I had someone to go with me, but who?!?!? I mean with all respect who would want to spend hours with me walking around all of these craft stores--when I say hours I mean HOURS! Well lucky for me only one person I know would be able to not only tolerate but be just as happy as I am-- Jen! Jen is a MAJOR crafty person--check out her Youtube channel and Blog--Jenwithsprinkles.

When I got home I was actually able to take everything out of the bag and see what I actually got--plus I wanted do a video of my haul. That can be seen on my youtube channel creativemsapril. I wasn't the only one excited to see everything that I got.

Charlie, my adorable 4-legged child, was very happy to see all of the goods that I brought home. His favorite was the feather boa. Granted that is for Grandma Wendy's present from him for Mother's Day next week. He felt it would be best to craft her a present for Mother's Day.

As you can see there are a few piles of wonderful crafting supplies. I did get the feather boa (on sale at Hobby Lobby) because I could not find a bag of feathers anywhere. Now I have to cut all of the feathers off of the binding that they are attached to. I did get a letter "C" chipboard to create a monogram for Charlie to be attached to his homemade frame that I got at Michael's (on sale for $1.00 a piece), I will be wrapping the baby blue feathers around the letter and securing it with a glue gun. (I do intend to post pictures and a video of this gift this week).

In this picture is of some of the of my "treasures". There is a Chalk Stamp that I got at Hobby Lobby on clearance. A Tim Holtz Ink Bleander from Michael's and I will be getting some additional applicator when I return. On the top of the picture there is a white package, that is 3 Water Brushes. These are used to either spread chalk or ink. I have also used it in the past on vellum to create a torn lose edge look.

I also got a lot of stickers. Michael's had a clearance on some that made them $0.49 each. I must admit that I picked up a few of each--that way I will be able to use them if I decide to create a few of the same albums for friends on our trip.

Also pictured is the new washi tape for Smash Book from K&Company. I have to say that there is some length to this tape before it starts repeating the image.

While I have to admit that I have NEVER used washi tape, it is one item that I am willing to jump into using 100%. These are 2 sets of 2 that I had found at Hobby Lobby by Tim Holtz. While I was informed that this is actually thinner than standard washi tape I was told it is just as fabulous because it is Tim Holtz!

To get a better idea of everything that I bought you can check out my youtube.com/user/creativemsapril and see my other video. I plan on adding a lot of videos so subscribe to my pages and I will keep you up to date.

A mixture of stickers that I purchased throughout the 3 stores.
